CONTRA DANCE DATABASE blog

Hello everyone!
Here are some things I have been working on and that I have found out:
  • I discovered an interesting "bug" in Excel that forces the format of cells to be set to "General" if the number of characters in the cell exceeds 255 characters. So, if you see a cell that has lots of ##### in the cell, just set the format to "General" instead of "Text".
  • The latest edition of the database is uploaded; it now contains 125 dances. This version includes corrections to a couple of dances.
  • I have uploaded the next version of the database output files. I have only used the 3-up version of the output file because that is what I favor for my phone and netbook computer. If you prefer the 4-up version for printing, I will upload that sometime in the near future. Of course, you can make your own by merging the database and appropriate Word document. The tutorials section has the instructions.
  • Program2014-002 has been added to the collection of files. I will use this program on December 5, 2014 and will comment on it here later.
Do you have any feedback? Please email me!
